Carys Zeta Douglas is the latest celebrity offspring to dominate the red carpet as well as magazine stands across the nation.
The 15-year-old daughter of actors Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, and granddaughter of the legendary Kirk Douglas, has recently started to step out of her family's shadow. Like the generations before her, she too is looking to enter the show business.
Still, the teenager keeps her lookalike mother by her side to guide her through the challenging industry and being a public personality.
"My parents do a really good job of reality-checking me and being like, "Look around you. The life you have is extraordinary,'" Carys said in a recent interview with Town & Country magazine.
The aspiring actor and her mother are the cover stars for the publication's September issue, titled Modern Swans and Living Legends. The magazine honored the teen at its 50 Modern Swans party, which Carys attended with her famous parents.
Carys and Catherine, who share a passion for fashion, also recently attended New York Fashion week together, and once again turned heads as they sat front row at the Michael Kors show for the second year in a row.
Carys, who has previously worked with Michael Kors as well as other designers, like Dolce and Gabbana, made her NYFW debut last year.
Oozing more confidence than ever, this year, Carys wore a black off-the-shoulder crop top with camouflage pants while her mother rocked a sleeveless black dress with white and blue floral prints.
Both mother and daughter opted for a soft makeup look, and wore their brown locks in loose curls. It's impossible not to do a double take as they look like sisters!
"Last year was her first fashion show here at Michael's show, but she's been asking me since she was like two years old," Catherine, 48, told Entertainment Tonight. Carys chimed in saying, "I love this! It's a dream to come back again."
At last year's event, Carys hinted at her interest in working within the fashion industry, and although she hasn't fully made up her mind yet (she also loves to act and sing and write songs), her mom is already giving her the best advice.
"You know who you are better than anyone knows you, and you know your true values," Carys told ET of her mother's advice. "Stick to that and have fun."
Carys' parents definitely don't have much to worry about when it comes to their daughter, and their son, Dylan, knowing their "true values."
The Mask of Zoro star described her daughter to Town & Country as "modern but age-appropriate."
She added, "I've never had to turn to Carys and say, "I think that's a little inappropriate.' Once she said, "Mom, I really like this romper.' I went, "Mmm, but don't you think it's cut a little too long? Shouldn't it be shorter?' She went, "Mom, you're the only mother in the world that would tell a 15-year-old girl that the romper should be shorter.'"
We can't wait to see what Carys has in store for the future, but we know whatever endeavor she takes on, she will excel.
