I remember being obsessed with everything Pokmon growing up - from the intense pok-battles, to collecting cards, and of course playing on Game Boy...it simply was the best! Pokmon Go has restarted the craze and we're seeing people catching "real" Pokmon on the street.
This Pokball Oreos recipe will help you get in the Pok-hunting spirit. These are super fun for a Pokmon themed party or to impress your colleagues at work. All you need are some candy melts and Oreos, and dip away. Where else will you get the energy...remember, you gotta catch 'em all!
- 1 cup each of white and red candy melts
- White eyeball candy (turned around) or other small white circular candy
- Black gel icing
- 12 oreos
- White lollipop sticks
Melt down white and red candy melts in separate bowls according to package instructions.
Dip lollipop stick about inch into the white candy melt, then push through the bottom of an Oreo about halfway through. Place into the fridge to chill and solidify as you dip all 12 sticks through your Oreos.
Once solid, remove Oreos from the fridge, and carefully dunk each Oreo fully in the white candy, shaking off any excess to form an even surface. Place each dunked Oreo in the fridge to chill and solidify as you dip all the Oreos.
Once solid, remove dunked Oreos from the fridge to dip the top half of the Oreos in your red candy melt, again shaking off any excess to form an even surface. Place each dunked Oreo in the fridge once more to chill and solidify as you dip all the Oreos.
Once solid, remove red and white Oreos from the fridge and use a toothpick or wooden stick to dot on some red candy melt to the center of the dunked Oreo. Glue on your white eyeball candy so it is fully white, or use another type of candy to create the center of the Pokeball.
Using black gel icing, outline the middle line of the Pokeball and the border around the candy center.
Serve immediately, or store for up to three days in an airtight container in the fridge.
