Each year, as the end of summer holidays approach, more than a dozen states across the country give parents a reason to enjoy back to school shopping.
Special tax free weekends offered in these states provide killer deals on children's clothing, shoes, and even computers.
While it's a great way for parents to save money, you don't need children to enjoy the deals on electronics and school (or office) supplies.

But keep this in mind: local sales taxes still apply, and most states have a cap on how much you can save tax-free.
Even if you don't want to face the back-to-school crowds, you can shop online and save. Amazon will automatically match your state's tax savings, while other stores require you to submit a receipt.
And, of course, be on the lookout for local stores offering other great deals.
Which states are participating in tax-free weekends?

Alabama, Tennessee, and Missouri have already had their tax-free weekends in July, so if you live in one of those states you're out of luck.
But this year Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin are offering tax savings.
